Turns out the photo of floor plans Tongue & Cheek chef Jamie DeRosa posted to Instagram last week was indeed a dead giveaway. According to Miami.com, DeRosa's upcoming restaurant, a "New England-meets-Miami seafood joint" is named Izzy's Fish and Oyster after his daughter Isabela (aka Izzy). Plans are for the restaurant, which will seat over 50 people, to take over the quietly-shuttered and neighboring SoFi Public House sometime in January. The blog also gets a first peek at the menu, which boasts lots of classics like lobster rolls and clam chowder.
Brunch will come about eventually, but once Izzy's Fish and Oyster opens its doors they'll offer dinner daily.
