MIAMI BEACH— As the brand new Nobu Hotel is gearing up to open in Eden Roc Miami Beach, Miami New Times announces that it will be the largest Nobu Restaurant in the world. The much-anticipated restaurant, a partnership between Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert DeNiro, and producer Meir Teper, is slated to open in the summer 2015, while the attached hotel will open in the fall of the same year. The second hotel under the Nobu hospitality brand— the first opened in Vegas in 2013— will include 210 rooms and two pools. [Miami New Times]
MIAMI BEACH— Miami New Times reports that London eatery Duck & Waffle is planning on expanding their elevated pub fare to the Miami area, but has confirmed few details since the opening is still light years away. Expected to break ground in the summer of 2015, the restaurant will share a space with Sushi Samba on North River Drive. If the London locale is any indication of what's to come for Magic City, diners can expect innovative seasonal cocktails, fresh-baked breads, and impossible wait times. [MNT]
SOUTH BEACH— Just in time for the perfect lineup of New Year's Eve hangover cures, South Beach is about to get a new taquería. Miami.com reports that Bodega Taquería will feature a "tricked-out, taco-truck interior," which either means it will be lined in quilted steel and be hot as ell, or only two people will be able to fit inside at a time. Find out for yourself when Bodega opens December 29 at 1220 16th St. on Miami Beach. [Miami.com]
