Fair and Fowl: Getting Your Turkey On

Red, The Steakhouse is doing Thanksgiving-a-go-go, offering a $199 takeout feast for four including The Red House Salad, all natural free range turkey, apple sausage stuffing, apple cranberry sauce, creamed corn, house made bread, gravy, whipped potatos and apple or pumpkin pie. Orders must be received by Friday, November 20 and picked up on Wednesday, November 25 between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

For those who can't wait that long, 8 Oz. Burger Bar tosses away the tacky "murder burgers" of Halloween and instead offers a Thanksgiving Dinner Burger—turkey burger with hash brown, sauteed spinach, mirepoix stuffing and cranberry sauce for $13.

For a fancy Turkey Day dinner, the Palme d'Or Restaurant at The Biltmore is offering a four course, $80 per person dinner by Chef Philippe Ruiz. Or, if you prefer an Italian-themed Thanksgiving, the hotel's Fontana Restaurant has a four course feast for $59 per person. Those who consider restaurants blasphemy on Thanksgiving can learn how to cook their own turkey dinners at The Biltmore Culinary Academy on Thursday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Executive Chef Roly Cruz-Taura will teach and tix are $110 per person.
