BK Whopper Bar Now Hiring, Area 31's Chef Critchley Swims With the Dolphins, More!

SOUTH BEACH—Short Order reports that Burger King's (oxymoron alert) upscale Whopper Bar is coming to South Beach and now hiring. Burgers, it seems, are the new black, the new steakhouse, sushi and Italian restaurants. And guess where those interested in working at the place should show up to on November 11? The Courtyard Marriott located next door to, where else, Five Guys Burgers and Fries. [Miami New Times]

KEY LARGO—Staying true to his word, eco-maniac and Area 31 executive Chef John Critchley will be heading down to Key Largo on November 20, not for a debauched weekend of boozing and boating, but to hand over a portion of the profits made from his restaurant's daily sustainable seafood prix-fixe menu as promised to the Marine Mammal Conservancy. Chef will also get to swim around with injured dolphins. [EaterWire]

LINCOLN ROAD—Because it's never too early to eat a steak, Meat Market is launching brunch on Sunday, November 15. In addition to the American Wagyu Kobe meatloaf en croute, the menu will offer oysters, stone crab, salads, and, yes, an impressive selection of egg dishes that make Denny's Grand Slam seem like Lean Cuisine. Not to be ignored: the brunchy cocktail menu consisting of such stellar sounding spirits as Good Morning Mexico with tequila, Bloody Mary mix and a chilled prawn and the Banana Bread Breakfast with coconut rum, Castries, coffee, banana liquor, half and half, simple syrup and a slice of freshly baked banana bread. Steak, what? [EaterWire]
