Design District Gets Vino E Olio in the Spring

Although it opened for a split second during Art Basel Miami Beach to exhibit Italian photographer Alessandra Rosati's Erotic Pink series along with owner Alessandro Cecconi's own pix, the 220-seat Vino E Olio won't open its doors to the public until at least April of 2010. When it does, Chef Andrea Menichetti promises authentic Tuscan fare and we believe him---his parents, Valeria Piccini and Maurizio Menichetti, are the founders of Maremma's revered Da Caino. Piccini, in fact, has two Michelin stars under her belt. Those get passed on through DNA, right? We hope so. [EaterWire]
