super_bowl_xliv_logo.pngDon't have $1,000 for a Mario Batali Super Bowl brunch at Club 50 at the Viceroy Hotel? Don't worry. Several area restaurants and hotels are planning their own Super Bowl-themed events, including Morton's The Steakhouse, which is offering specialty team drinks, drink specials, a bar menu with $5 offerings throughout the game and, of course the game itself broadcast on LCD screens in the restaurant's bar and private rooms. To win Bar Bites for 10 of your closest friends, enter your email address here. The Super Bowl specials will be available at all of Morton's South Florida locations, but the North Miami Beach branch will not be offering drink specials. Over at The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, a team-themed Super Bowl menu with items under or around $10 in the lobby lounge on game day from 5 to 11 p.m. This, we presume, is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more as the teams are decided and everyone else jumps on the baller bandwagon. [EaterWire]
