Red Sauce Redux: Pucci's Pizza Reopens On South Beach

Telephone: 305-672-0999
Status: After an 8-year hiatus, Pucci's Pizza, a relic from the so-called South Beach halycon days circa 1992, has returned with plans for a second location to open in a condo across from the American Airlines Arena. The once popular pre- and post-clubbing mainstay brings back its Brooklyn-style pizza "featuring the most expensive mozzarella around and its legendary pizza sauce," as well as pasta dishes featuring Martorano's marinara sauce. As for why the redux, Tommy Pooch, nightlife promoter slash co-owner along with partner Alan Roth, tells us "I couldn't find a slice in Miami which reminded me of Brooklyn pizza, I got frustrated and thought maybe it's time we bring it back."
