Back in November, we told you about Mercadito, the mod Mexican resto helping places like SUGARCANE Raw Bar to make Midtown Miami a destination for more than just a few rolls of toilet paper at Tarjay. Well, Miami, we have a date-ish. The NYC and Chicago import known for signature tacos, homemade tortillas, guacamole, etc., is set to open sometime in February. “We’ve been successful in bringing the best of our Mexican culture to the nation’s top metropolitan cities and Miami has a perfect fit,” says managing partner Alfredo Sandoval, one of three brothers who owns and operates the Mercadito family restaurant group. “For Midtown we’ve created a hip ambiance with an exciting, yet affordable, menu.”[EaterWire]
