Former Miami chef turned NYC restaurant consultant Carmen Gonzalez has been chosen as one of 22 competing chefs on the second season of Top Chef Masters. Gonzalez and perhaps Govind Armstrong formerly of the now defunct Table 8 and representing only LA's 8 Oz. Burger Bar, are the closest things our city has to being represented on the show, which premiers April 7. We spoke with Gonzalez and tried to get her to dish, but she was silenced by a 28-page confidentiality agreement, telling us only that she "Was very excited to be part of such an esteemed group of chefs. It was stressful, hard, and lots of fun, mot mostly a great way to support our charities." [Entertainment Weekly, EaterWire]
