How's this for random? On June 7th, Morton's The Steakhouse on Brickell Avenue is featuring a live telecast of an interactive concert in Pittsburgh by folksy singer Jewel, who will be performing songs from her latest album due out on June 8. In addition to a three-course dinner, guests will get to ask the singer pressing questions (like how she prefers her meat?) and even request songs. Diners should also be ready for their close ups as they, too, will be filmed in between stabs of steak via HD cameras. Concert is from 8pm to 11pm and tickets are $100, which includes an autographed copy of the new CD and the three-course dinner, or $92.50 without the CD. For a quick second we could have sworn Jewel was a vegetarian, which would have rendered all this even wackier than it already is, but then we remembered she's married to a rodeo dude, so that's highly unlikely.
