For those who can cook with beer as well as they can consume it, Lou's Beer Garden wants you to enter their 1st Annual Micro Brew Beer Cook-off on Sunday, August 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rules are simple enough: all dishes must include a micro-brewed beer as one of the ingredients. All participants must bring enough food in Dixie cup portions for 100 tastings. Each attendee gets one vote and will help determine the winner along with five judges. The event, free and open to the public, will be televised and aired on Telemundo's The Shuffle. Prizes for the top three include $25 to $100 worth of beer, but the best of all three will get a free two night stay at The New Hotel and have their dish featured on Lou's menu for a week. To cook, send an email here. To eat, just show up. [EaterWire]
