Wynwood Kitchen & Bar Slated for Nov/Dec Opening

Those who recall the ahead-of-its-time and dearly departed SoHo Kitchen & Bar on Greene St. in NYC will delight in the fact that Tony Goldman (Joey's, Wish) is doing it again, this time in the SoHo (circa 1980s) of the South, Wynwood, partnering with his daughter Jessica Goldman Srebnik to open Wynwood Kitchen & Bar just in time for the culture vultures' descent on the area during Art Basel. Described as an "American Brasserie," The 5,000 square foot, warehouse-y WKB will feature a menu created by Jean Georges protege Marco Ferraro, murals by acclaimed graffiti artists Shephard Fairey and Christian Awe, and requisite hipster bar with creative cocktails named after artists whose works have adorned Wynwood Walls and its surroundings. Menu Sampling

STARTERS ($7-$10)
Sautéed garlicky mussels in a flavorful tomato broth, tuna tartare with avocado, chili oil and ginger vinaigrette

Hummus, taboulleh, and baba ganoush with warm pita bread, local tomato gazpacho with succulent cucumber, watermelon and house made croutons, crispy artichoke hearts with Romesco dipping sauce

Selection of house made sausages, ranging from savory beef with spicy mustard to lamb with a cumin spiked yogurt dip

BURGERS, SANDWICHES & SALADS ($9-$12)
Six juicy burger selections served on brioche or multi grain pita, with spicy slaw or crisp hand cut fries, include an all natural Angus beef with sautéed local mushrooms, caramelized onions and melted Swiss, tuna with pickled cucumber, house ground turkey with lemon coriander and a saucy braised BBQ pork burger.


Gruyere cheese steak with crispy onions, a classic turkey club, and a tuna pain bagna served on a choice of several house baked breads with salads or fries

Greek salad with delicate locally made feta, cucumber, plum tomatoes

CLAY POTS ($9-$24)
Local snapper and mussel curry spiked with ginger, mango and basil, tender braised pork with pineapple and cardamom, or chicken curry with the snap of fresh Fresno chili

ENTREES ($18-$24)
Caramelized grilled rib eye with garlic-rosemary confit, juicy hanger steak with Romesco sauce

Lemony steamed local snapper with herb compote
