Although we think there should be more classes on the art of making cocktail conversation, Soyka cuts right to the chase, throwing a do-it-yourself cocktail course the first Monday of every month, beginning next Monday, October 4. Subject: vodka. Curriculum: martinis. Conducted by managing bartender Keagan Brosterhous, the class will teach the history, secrets and prep behind a list of classic cocktails. Sounds fun, but we guess the only people who qualify for these courses are those who can make it on a Monday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per person, which includes a martini and munchies. Call 305-759-3117 to reserve. [EaterWire]
