Starting Friday and continuing through Sunday, October 10 is Shake Shack's annual Shacktoberfest celebration, featuring a selection of specials inspired by the Bavarian beer fest. Among the highlights: garlic sausage, currywurst and fries, Hungarian somed sausage and seasonal beers including Brooklyn Brewery's oktoberfest, Shipyard's Pumpkinhead Ale, Abita S.O.S. and Warsteiner Oktoberfest. Speaking of the S.O.S., Abita donates 75 cents from each bottle to S.O.S.--A Charitable Fund, which assists with the rescue and restoration of the post oil spill Gulf environment.
