Chef Allen Susser's food has been called lots of things and now we can say his cuisine is officially a piece of work, as he joins Books & Books at the brand new Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale's Museum Cafe, celebrating a grand opening January 13-16, featuring free museum admission, special events and more. The Café’s special sandwiches, priced at $7.95, are Lime Roasted Turkey & Manchego Cheese with Mojo Aioli; Chimichurri Roasted Beef Sandwich with Roasted Peppers; and Papaya Pineapple BBQ Ham & Swiss Cheese. Smaller sandwiches, sold for $5.95, are Key Lime Tuna Salad and Black Forest Ham and Cheese. Guests will also be offered a selection of salads priced at $8.95, including Tuna & Chayote Salad with Key Lime Mayo & Plantain Chips, Crunchy Caribbean Chicken Cobb Salad, and Chicken Caesar with Heart of Palm Salad. The dessert menu includes Key Lime Pie, Fresh Tropical Fruit Tart, Dark Chocolate Filled Jumbo Cupcake, and Chocolate Cheesecake, each priced at $3.49.
