Not since the birth of the Brangelina twins has there been such anticipation over a debut of sorts like there's been with the premiere of chef Michael Schwartz's first ever cookbook, Michael's Genuine Food: Down-to-Earth Cooking For People Who Love to Eat, which will be feted in foodie style with parties at The James Beard House and The Harrison in NYC and, thankfully for us locals, the first signing at Books & Books Coral Gables 7 p.m. Saturday, February 19. Not just any book signing, this one, free and open to the public, will feature a "potluck party" with dishes from the book prepared by local devotees and restaurant regulars, live jazz and cocktails straight out of the book. Get there early--genuinely early. [EaterWire]
