Status: These days, banks aren't exactly high on the list of peoples' faves, but The Bank, a new nightclub opening in the in what used to be the Meyer-Kiser (as in Meyer Lansky) bank in the historic Dade Commonwealth Building, is hoping to change peoples' perceptions through their Prohibition-themed (sadly, not priced) cocktail menus. As with most financial institutions, this one will also have a special room for those with more in their accounts--the original vault has been transformed into, you guessed it, a VIP room for bottle service. In keeping with the theme, waitresses will sport flapper-wear and the outdoor terrace will be located in an alley. Not keeping with the theme is the music: house on Fridays and open format on Saturdays, the only two nights they are open. Speaking of the opening, that's expected on November 10.
