After Chef James King left Palm Beach Gardens for Miami's new Edge, Steak & Bar, Verdea Restaurant & Wine Bar was due for a culinary change. Next in line at Verdea is Chef David Welch who will shape Verdea's existing farm-to-table concept around his own style developed in South Florida flavors. Welch's resume lists experience from Loew's Miami Beach, Tantra and Acqualina. Verdea's new menu highlights include smoked shellfish bisque, root vegetable crusted black grouper, and a pumpkin panna cotta.
