Gary Zinger is taking another stab at the deli business. The long-time restaurateur who shut down Pastrami Queen in Boca Raton in 2009 after a family spat, re-opened under a new name – actually his name – Zinger’s Delicatessen. The new place, which is located in the same plaza as his other deli, features an assortment of homemade foods, such as bread baked daily in-house, homemade soups, knishes salad platters, potato pancake latke tots, a veggie burger made with 20 secret ingredient, and private-label meats. It’s also a more hip place, with flat screen TVs, and he serves beer and wine, not something you usually find at your neighborhood deli. Can’t sit and nosh? There’s also a takeout counter. The 2,400-square-foot restaurant, which seats 60, is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday though Friday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. ---Lily Rano
