Status: With so many restaurants east of Swinton on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, it’s nice to see that a new one has opened on the west side. Breathe, a new Mediterranean-fusion restaurant, lounge and nightclub is described as a “funky new twist on Mediterranean region fare.” Its menu, created by Executive Chef Marcel Ivan, features – no surprise here – an assortment of hummus, baba ganoush and tabule, as well as marinated lamb and filet mignon with entrée prices ranging from $31 to $50. Deserts include a seven-layer red velvet with cream cheese frosting with a light dusting of powdered sugar. Or, just stop in for happy hour and order one of their numerous cocktails including a watermelon sting, cucumber punch, or Mediterranean mirage. Plans are to open for lunch soon.
