It seemed a charitable gesture to some that Cecconi's at the private, members only SoHo Beach House would be open to the dining public, but could that have been too good to be true? According to one of our Eater Miami tipsters, Cecconi's now has a 2-hour dining rule that says if you're a slow eater, you better hurry up or else you gotta go. Now included in the bill, tax, tip and indigestion. Nervy, right? Temporarily, perhaps. According to a spokesperson, "For reservations this weekend through next week (due to the South Beach Wine & Food Festival) they are asking diners to be mindful of other diners waiting for reservations during this busy time, especially early reservations. But no, the restaurant would never ask a diner to leave after two hours." Glad we cleared that one up. [EaterWire]
