Top Chefs Take On Morning Radio Antics

New, 1 comment

All sorts of antics are taking place around town for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and, no, we're not talking about Guy Fieri walking around with three meathead bodyguards, either. Take, for instance, local radio guys Paul & Young Ron, who had their annual cookoff show poolside at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, right where Al Roker was telling everyone what's happening in their neck of the woods. Hosted by Emeril Lagasse and Fieri, the cook-off between hosts Paul Castronovo and "Young" Ron Brewer was judged by Cat Cora, Tim Love, Bryan Voltaggio, Howie Kleinberg and Rick Moonen.

In a bit of an upset, Brewer’s “Lobster Tropicale” was judged superior to Castronovo's “Mediterranean Surprise,” although the competition was not without controversy, with allegations that Brewer’s winning entry was primarily prepared by a sous chef from FIU. [EaterWire]
