In response to speculation that its South Beach restaurant was about to keel over, Miss Yip's publicist sent out a mass email saying that " After seven years at it’s location at 1661 Meridian Avenue, Miss Yip Chinese Café, South Beach’s legendary purveyor of classic Hong Kong style cuisine, has announced it will be relocating along with Buck15 to an undisclosed location on Lincoln Road. During the transition process, Miss Yip’s dining room will remain open and the Chinese eatery will continue to offer delivery and takeout daily. " Legendary? An undisclosed location? Who knew Miss Yip was so high ranking. Anyway, we asked why they were moving and why the new locale is such a secret and will get back to you as soon as we get the answers, because we're sure the place doesn't intend to remain undisclosed if they plan to remain in biz.[EaterWire]
Update: Just in from Cassandra Martino, Miss Yip's PR rep, who dodged our question about the whole 'undisclosed location' thing: "Basically because the landlord & owner of Buck15 & Miss Yip couldn't come to an agreement as to the renewal of the lease."
