In somewhat of a shocking and disturbing development, it seems that the New Times has pulled Lee Klein's review of Coral Gables eatery Route 9 after allegations arose that Klein may not have been there. According to the restaurant's Twitter feed, "Chuck Strouse, editor New Times is stand up. Killing the New Times story for first time in 13 years based on Lee Klein lack of credibility." Also strangely involved in this situation is new Trio chef Klime Kovaceski. We contacted Klein for the low down and will report back if and when we hear from him. In the meantime, we just heard from editor Strouse, who said "Story had some errors. Willl be reposted tomorrow." [EaterWire]
