In celebration of National Barbecue Month and some legend involving a Lebanese family in Mexico 200 years ago, on May 22, The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne's Cantina Beach is offering "Tacos Arabes With a Barbecue Flair," also known as Tacos Orientales, a Puebla fave of ground beef and NY strip barbecued on a spit and then slathered in chipotle barbecue sauce, served with tortillas, smoked japaleno sauce, cilantro and onions. Price: $16. Says chef Andres Parlange, "Puebla is known for its Tacos Arabes. Never have I seen them anywhere in the US." Key Biscayne isn't part of the US either, is it? [EaterWire]
