SuleyGoth.jpegIt was just Monday we reported on Gotham Steak's decision to turn its upstairs space into a lounge, complete with new menu and DJ. We even had a quote from chef de cuisine John Suley, who seemed enthusiastic about it. Well today we can confirm that Suley has jumped ship. The official PR spin is as expected but we can't help wonder if the whole tweaking thing had something to do with it: "John Suley is stepping down from his role as chef de cuisine at Gotham Steak at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach to explore new opportunities. While the Fontainebleau team launches a chef search for Gotham’s next star-chef-in-the-making, the restaurant’s talented culinary team will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations under the supervision of Michelin Star recipient and James Beard award winning chef and owner, Alfred Portale."
