Jean-Georges Vongerichten to Bal Harbour in 2012

He may have closed six restaurants in his career, but Jean-Georges Vongerichten is taking the plunge and planning to open his first Miami restaurant in 2012. Vongerichten will bring his second J&G Grill, the first having opened back in 2009 in Park City, UT, to the St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort set to open in the first quarter of 2012. A more casual offering as compared to his uptown NYC flagship, J&G will have more in common with his perennially packed locavore spot ABC Kitchen, the 2011 James Beard Award winner for Best New Restaurant.
