Telephone: 561-638-0500
Status: Robert Greenfield, owner of the former Greenfield’s on Atlantic, has partnered with Joey Giannuzzi chef/owner of The Green Gourmet in Delray Beach, to open Dig, an eco-conscious restaurant serving "clean, green cuisine" in Greenfield’s former space on West Atlantic Avenue. Dig, which stands for Doing it Green, is serving ocean-to-table and farm-to-table dishes that include organic produce, grass-fed chicken and beef, and wild seafood. There’s also an organic juice and smoothie bar, as well as 100 percent organic fountain soda and a selection of organic wines and beer. The interior got a complete makeover using recycled and green elements. There’s a three-course sunset menu from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and happy hour between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Starting June 27, the restaurant will be open for lunch. ---Lily Rano [EaterWire]
