Status: Opening August 11, Chuck Burger Joint is the first hamburger restaurant for PyroGrill owner Michael Curcio, who, we're told, has spent the past decade "perfecting the research and design" of his special brand of burgers. Says a publicist, "A connoisseur of all things burgers, Michael has sought to create a modern day roadside burger joint if you will - one where you can wash down a burger with a milk shake or a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon - and that is exactly what Chuck Burger Joint will be. "

Among the highlights: Creekstone hormone free, antibiotic free secret beef blend ground daily by Bush Brothers, house made frozen custard, craft beer list, all produce from local farmers, Martin's potato buns, Sprecher root beer, and Mexican Coke. A "secret menu" available only to those who "like" their Facebook page will include off menu items.

During the grand opening, on the 11th and 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the first 250 people who walk in will get a burger, fries, and a soda all for $5. All proceeds from those hours will go to a different local charity each day--Safe Harbor on Thursday and Place of Hope on Friday.
