balloofriends.jpgStarting Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m., the first of Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill Chef Timon Balloo’s monthly Dinner with Friends series, a six course meal with beverage pairings prepared by Balloo and his special guest co-host Jamie DeRosa, executive chef of Geoffrey Zakarian's restaurant, Tudor House. On the menu: Foie Gras Chestnut Soup served two ways and Thyme-Braised Oxtail with rice and peas from Balloo and Portuguese Octopus, gigande beans, citrus and Boeuf Bourguignon a la Julia Child circa 1999 from DeRosa.
