Charlotte Bistro's Small Plates & Sunday Brunch

New, 2 comments

Charlotte Bistro reopened quietly in September after some cosmetic surgery and now unveils the result of some culinary nips and tucks in the form of a new small plates menu and Sunday brunch. Venezuelan-born chef/owner Elida Villarroel, a graduate of the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France, has added several dishes priced $4 to $14, including crispy fried rabbit with mashed potatoes and red-eye gravy, and some larger dishes priced at $14 to $34 and including a NY strip with blue cheese butter. As for the brunch, that's Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring mini arepas stuffed with pernil, tender roasted pork shoulder, or Venezuelan-style black beans with cheese, as well as classic French omelettes, house-made sausages and carne asada, among other things. "We'll be coming up with fun, creative dishes and changing the menu every week so there will always be new flavors and experiences for our guests” says Villarroel. [EaterWire]
