Lush Palm Beach landmark, The Leopard Lounge, a prowling ground for everyone from octogenarian cougars, moguls and those on the hunt for both, has turned the page in the new year hoping to resurrect a crowd by doing what many of its regulars do--getting a facelift. Located in the Chesterfield Hotel on Cocoanut Row in Palm Beach, the well heeled watering hole has redecorated the restaurant to help attract a younger, livelier crowd. The redesign features more black, replacing the overwhelming bright red and leopard print of years past, specifically on the walls, woodwork and in the new banquets. While the restaurant has gotten a slight face lift and an increase in seating to 100, the Chesterfield has not given up on the animal kitsch - the space still roars leopard with their animal print ceiling accented with large punkah fans and various animal oil paintings. Along with a new decor, the restaurant is in the process of updating their menu featuring their new kitchen toy, a Josper grill, the only one in Palm Beach.----Matt Tylka [EaterWire]
