Mexico City French restaurant (!) Gloutonnerie Vintage Kitchen, as reported by Lee Klein earlier today, is slated to open in the massive space formerly known as Au Pied de Cochon at 81 Washington Ave. And while Gloutonnerie is French for 'gluttony,' they aren't kidding. We have it on excellent authority that the owners are spending somewhere in the environs of $55,000 a month in rent just to be there. That's 756,387 pesos, for those doing the currency conversion. Wow. [EaterWire]
