Gone are the days of pre-packaged ramen noodles microwaved in the dorm. You've graduated from college (hopefully), and now it's time to upgrade that bowl of noodles. Good thing Machiya Ramen Noodle House is opening in Midtown on Monday, October 15 next to Ricochet Bar and Lounge. This post-grad restaurant serves their specialty ramen bowls hot as well as cold, with various fish and meats and other add-ons to customize each one like egg, tofu, and pork belly. Beyond the bowls, Machiya has small plates like a Tuna "Pizza" in the raw offerings, Crispy Brussels Sprouts and other veggies, Spicy Miso Fried Chicken, and Steamed Lobster Buns from the land and sea plates. Even more grown up, the restaurant has a variety of wines by the glass and bottle, beer, sake, and cocktails for those with ID. Say sayonara to those Maruchan packages and hello to the very grown-up Machiya.
