Except that Balloo is actually representing Miami with his talent and skill, both at home and abroad. After just finishing cooking at Bobby Flay's Tacos & Tequila event at the New York Wine & Food Festival this past weekend, Balloo is off to teach cooking classes aboard Food and Wine magazine's Holland America Line Cruise. After which, he'll return back home to Miami to host his monthly Dinner with Friends series at Sugarcane with this month's guest, Yardbird's Jeff McInnis. Oh, and he's also now on the advisory council for next summer's Atlanta Food & Wine Festival. [EaterWire]
