Red Light Closed for Florida Cookery Preparations

New, 1 comment

Chef and Florida native Kris Wessel has temporarily closed Red Light Little River for three weeks in order to fully prepare for the grand opening of his second restaurant: Florida Cookery. It's opening at The James Royal Palm in South Beach where Top Chef season three winner Hung Huynh is also bringing his New York restaurant Catch down south along with another NY original, SL Nightclub, also opening its second outpost. Wessel has taken his time and pride in crafting the menu for the Cookery. It'll be a very localized, Florida-focused menu with inspiration from his family's southern roots and some Caribbean influences thrown in. The above is a rendering of the restaurant, set to open November 1. Check out the menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and sweets in the meantime.
