Construction at Khong River House continues in preparation for a late fall opening. They tweeted this photo earlier this morning with the caption: "Reclaimed Asian hardwood going up." The first of two new concepts (the other is Yardbird's sister Swine) coming from 50 Eggs Restaurant Group, the Thai restaurant will incorporate influences from Vietnam and Laos as well into the menu. 50 Eggs CEO John Kunkel also tweeted a photo two days ago of Chef Danny and Chef Pi in the kitchen "cooking up some good stuff getting ready for [Khong]." We're hoping Khong will open in the next month or so, with Swine following after. Stay tuned as opening day approaches.
