Juvia Awarded Design of the Year by Esquire

Esquire magazine has just released its annual Best New Restaurants of 2012 that will be in the November issue on stands October 16. Esquire's Food and Travel Correspondent, John Mariani, who's been eating around the U.S. for nearly 30 years, assembled the list of America's 20 best new places to dine. Making the list from Miami, Juvia wins Design of the Year. The ten-thousand-square-foot rooftop restaurant sits perched atop the remodeled architectural delight of the 1111 building on Lincoln Road. Opened in February, the eight million dollar project has offered Miami a taste of Peruvian fusion in a setting like no other. And this is what Mariani applauds it for:

Almost every seat has a grand view of Miami's Art Deco District. Nowhere will you feel more outside while dining inside.
Other winners include The Optimist in Atlanta for Restaurant of the Year and Roberto Donna of Al Dente in Washington D.C for Chef of the Year. An exciting, notable win for Juvia, hopefully some of the great openings this season make it onto Mariani's list next year.
