Short-Lived Brewhouse Hits the Shutter

Just a few short weeks after being "soft open", Brewhouse has closed. The restaurant/bar/game lounge was quickly turned around and re-opened by owner Josh Marcus of Josh's Deli in Surfside after his Chow Down shuttered in the same space on Alton Road. What actually sounded like a really fun concept with lots of games, beer, and a somewhat more elevated menu of bar eats, Brewhouse's shuttering has been confirmed. Marcus told Eater,

"Due to extreme circumstances, we had to close Brewhouse yesterday... I am devoting myself to the deli, and John [partner] is working hard with Blackbird, Purdy and The Bar [Coral Gables]. We both loved the concept and would love to bring other ideas to Miami. But not right now."

A little tear drops for this duo, having tried hard to make the Alton Road space work, gathering some devoted followers of Chow Down and Josh's Deli along the way. Brewhouse will be mourned for the potential it had but never quite was given a chance to live up to.
