Last night's preview of ORCHID, the pop-up theatrical dining experience in the Design District, was quite the flower bomb due to a power outage. A transformer failure caused things between Northeast 2 Avenue and Northeast 41 Street to go black out, with apparently a fire near the I-95 exit. The show did not go on, and no one, including master chef behind the prix-fixe menu Michelle Bernstein, stuck around. They're offering refunds to ticket holders from last night's event and fingers crossed the rest of the performances through January keep the lights on. [SO]
