1) Brickell: You can get pills over the counter, so why not food too? That's probably the thought that spurred the conception of OTC, the latest gastropub in Brickell by father-son team John and Michael Sullivan. Expect friendly staff behind the counters taking your order of Short Rib & Brie Grilled Cheese, Pan-Seared Tuna Sliders, Warm Bacon & Peach Salad, and Truffle & Parmesan Fries. Mix and match other small plate items and charcuterie, but keep the Cigar City, Lagunitas and Dogfish Head pints to yourself at this comforting, rustic American hang out.

2) Downtown: Now there's a marketa to get your porchetta, aptly named Porketta. Head to Downtown Miami's pork-centric joint that has lots of all natural, organic, non-hormonal (unlike your girlfriend) Italian swine to feast on. Get it in a sandwich, or divided into three sliders, or on a plate with some sides. There's also some "alternatives" in the form of salad and carpaccio. For beverages, they offer Italian imports of beer, wine, and Prosecco at this fast-casual spot.

3) Downtown: Yet another addition to Downtown Miami's burgeoning quick eats scene, Reggae Tacos is showing some Rasta love, but only for lunch. The little taco joint (ha) is hatched by the guys from The Filling Station and combines the two festive, colorful cultures of Jamaica and Mexico. Think jerk chicken and pork meets taco tortilla. There's also some curry and goat on the menu, along with a Hooray Chicken! Burrito that's braised in Red Stripe and coconut milk. Wash it down with a Bob Marley tea or soda, or get jammin' island-style with a Red Stripe or daiquiri.
