STAR ISLAND— This week was Curbed Miami Renters Week, so here's a rental doozie. Notorious developer Thomas Kramer's Star Island mansion, which has been on the market, is now on the rental market too. A month's rent: $100,000/month.

SOUTH BEACH— The new Alchemist store in Lincoln Road's 1111 garage is almost done. It was designed by hometown architect Rene Gonzalez, with a Jugofresh juice bar by local-ish architect (she has a vacay place here) Zaha Hadid.

GOLDEN BEACH— Ricky Martin sold his beachfront house in Golden Beach for $12.8 million, a princely sum to be sure, but lots less than the $17 mill he once wanted for the place.

SOUTH BEACH
The latest hotel on South beach, The James Royal Palm, opened this week, but we got in just before the rush for a tour of the place during the last days of construction. It includes a huge sculptural wood grand staircase.
