NYC's Apotheke Opening in Miami Next Year

News broke earlier this month that famed New York mixologist Albert Trummer, who has been on hiatus for a while and dealing with a lawsuit, is opening an outpost of his Chinatown cocktail bar Apotheke. Slated for a late January 2013 opening, Trummer's Apotheke will be in the heart of Wynwood at Northwest 2 Avenue and 23 Street. Trummer, an alchemist of sorts, is known for his ability to take risks, having opened one of the first bars in Chinatown before it became a nightlife destination. He'll bring the same medicinal concept to the artsy district of Wynwood, making the place feel like an apothecary with chemists in lab coats concocting some truly original prescriptions, er, cocktails.
