Ms. Topless In Jeopardy?; The World's Biggest Casino

DESIGN DISTRICT— The Design District is changing, and fast. Just this week, we noticed construction workers scurrying in and out of the soon-to-open Prada and Dior Homme temporary spaces, huuuge new trees planted along 40th street, and construction netting going up around the topless latina mural on Biscayne Boulevard. What shopping mysteries lay in store, and is lil' miss booty in danger?

OMNI— Oh my Al Crespo! Resorts World Miami, that casino that Malaysian casino people Genting still wants to build at the Omni and Miami Herald Buildings would actually be, if the original plans are executed, the world's biggest. Check out layouts of the five gaming floors here.

COCONUT GROVE— The obsession with Grove At Grand Bay, which sadly falls into the category of "things we can't afford", continues. But, hey, the Bjarke Ingels design is reeeeally spectacular, and some of the units are absolutely humungous. They even come with that very novel commodity that were supposed to have disappeared in the 1950s: maids rooms.

OVER BISCAYNE BOULEVARD— The typically gridlocked I-395 is due to be rebuilt, and FDOT's got some excessively grand plans that kinda look like they plopped a contemporary version of the Golden Gate Bridge over Biscayne Boulevard. Although it won't be finished for more than a decade, do they have the foresight to incorporate mass transit in the new road design? No.
