Chef Alan Hughes is making a Buena Vista comeback with new restaurant The Embassy. Years ago, before the Buena Vista/Design District 'hood was what it is today, Hughes had a restaurant there by the name of One Ninety. After a brief hiatus from the restaurant scene, he's come back to take over the old Blue Piano spot next to Lemoni on Northeast 2 Avenue. The Embassy will have "pintxos, tapas, small bites, and a crudo bar". It's expected to open in time for Art Basel, but with a temporary Basel menu to hold us over until Hughes can really focus on the menu post-Basel madness. [Miami.com]
