Chef Josef Schibanetz, former owner of Josef’s in Plantation is back. But he’s moved to the Polo Club Shoppes in Boca Raton and he’s got a new partner. Mel Lechner, a long-time customer of Josef’s, has joined forces with Schibanetz. The menu is described as European fusion with a heaping help of German. Entrees include: wiener salon goulash with spaetzle, herb roasted lamb rack, roasted half duck, and of course, wiener schnitzel. Desserts include Josef's apfel strudel, lime and ginger crème brûlée, house made ice cream and sorbet, sugar free lemon mousse and gluten free chocolate tart. There also a full bar with hand-picked wine list served by the glass along with 17 beers and six microbrews on tap. And forget the pretzels and peanuts. The bar bites here include escargot, Belgium beer muscles, brie brats, Rhode Island calamari, broad bean hummus, and warm camembert.---Lily Rano [EaterWire]
