Looks like James Beard semifinalist and Michael's Genuine Food & Drink pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith is a Pepsi girl, at least for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, where she will team up with the pop "to bring clever tips and refreshing takes to festival goers and beyond." Goldsmith will also debut a new, Diet Pepsi-inspired recipe, providing "a cleverly refreshing twist on a classic childhood dessert and utilizing Diet Pepsi as a key ingredient." Apparently the soda will be all over the festival, from the Q to Trucks on the Beach, so keep an eye out. As for the pairing, well, it's an obvious choice. Pepsi has a thing for rock stars.
