Status: The 269-seat Fresco Trattoria, yet another "authentic" Italian restaurant on South Beach, opened "softly" earlier this month as the first American outpost for for owner Sergio Massaglia, who has two Fresco locations in Milan and Naples, Italy. Two Italian-born chefs are in the kitchen--one who has been trained by Alfredo Forgione, a man known in at least his Italian neighborhood as the King of Pizza, a man with an "irreverent temperament" who also happens to be a managing partner.
