Status: Picking up where Michelle Bernstein left off, Palm Beach's Omphoy Ocean Resort debuts their new restaurant tonight: Malcolm's, replacing the recently closed, two year old Bernstein project. Malcolm's kitchen is executed by the experienced 36 year old New Yorker, Chef Michael Wurster, whose resume cites such stints at Le Cirque and Lutece and was tapped to revamp the kitchen at Tavern on the Green before its abrupt closing. Wurster's menu at Malcolm's will feature fresh Florida cuisine. Among the highlights: a sea scallop crudo with peach and tomato; sea urchin custard with lobster royale and caviar, and a tuna entree rubbed with coffee and paprika served with clams, chorizo, corn, corn, fava beans, and potato.
