Although Food & Wine only partially correctly categorizes Florida as a Gulf Coast region, they are spot on when it comes to South Florida's nominees for The People's Best New Chef: Kevin Cory (NAOE), Jeff McInnis (Yardbird Southern Table & Bar), Jose Mendin and Sergio Navarro (Pubbellies), Horacio Rivadero (The Dining Room), and Simon Stojanovic (AltaMare). Though most are far from new, it's about time some of them were recognized. Voting starts today and continues through March 11. Good luck and congrats to all. [FW]
